Let's See Who Won!
Later on that Saturday evening, the attendees gathered in the largest function room, each clutching their tickets. Throats were dry, attention was piqued, and eyes were transfixed upon Adrian Ko, Mark Ryan, and Jason Carter as they dug name after name out of the glass fishbowl!

| "The room was so thick with anticipation as we dug our hands in the fishbowl to draw out names - so thick that you could cut it with, um, a katana!" Adrian quipped. But as our pony-tailed swordsman read out the names on the tickets, winners screamed and their friends screamed with them. The room instantly erupted in applause. Sometimes there were tears as the swords were received.
Adrian got hugged.
"It was a great feeling," Adrian recalls. "I myself never won anything in my life, but what was so special was that, not only did some who felt they would never win one of the swords actually win, but their friends shared in their excitement as well. That made it very special for us. I'd like to do this kind of thing again!" |

Hamming it Up!
 |
|
Just before the main evening event began, dashing Anthony De Longis managed to get ahold of Adrian Ko's lightsaber (which Adrian brought along with him as a practical joke). Anthony smiled pleasantly at the powerful science fiction symbol, ignited it, and began to ham it up to the camera.
"Anthony's presence was quite amazing," describes Adrian. "With the lightsaber, all you'd need is some Jedi robes, remove the glasses, and you have someone with the presence of Qui-Gon Jinn!"

In case you're wondering where that fantastic laser glow is coming from - hey, it's a kind of magic!. A little "WarAngel" magic on Adobe Photoshop!
I nominate Anthony to appear in future installments of Star Wars. He'd make quite a stately Jedi. What do you think?
