Yes, it was renamed But I too forget the original name. You have to get a private boat out for Shimonoseki to reach it. If it wasn't for all the other islands covered in tall factories you would be able to see it from the bridge. I went to do a demonstration there once. No seiza forms for Iai people. The grass is too long! There is a large comemoration stone tucked away in a small grove. I have tried to research the Ganryu and Sasaki wondering if I could establish some links with my Ryu. Apart from Yoshikawa's fictional work there seems no other evidence to speak of. I would be very pleased if someone had come across something that told us more about this man and his techniques.
